Since May 2009, One Ok Rock becomes a quartet, having decided not to look for a new guitarist. According to Taka:
"We used to be like a pentagon, which is difficult to keep in balance. Because now we are four and we are like a square, the distance between us was the same, and together we can go through it, with what face; I think, our productivity has improved. Style and themes All Music defined the band's sound as a power pop, alternative rock, indie rock, hard rock and pop punk. I used to sing at a very "pure" music and was playing in a group with two other participants - keyboardist and guitarist. I still knew little about the tools, but in a small studio I could not see who play on anything, and I just heard loud noises. It was convenient that they played loud. I hear now the sound of drums, guitar and bass for the first time. I was greatly impressed by it, because I always was interested. Initially, I really like the band RIZE. Genre was not what I was used to, so the feeling was as if I was in a new world, and it was very fun. We played together every week, and I still did not know much."
The guitarist Toru and bassist Ryota began to dance hip-hop group, Ryota first picked up the bass guitar only at the request of the Toru from the fact that they did not have a bass player. Themselves as musicians carry their creativity to the rock mix, metal and hardcore. It also has appeared on the most impact on their work, they carried: My Chemical Romance, Enter Shikari, Good Charlotte, Last Winter, Saosin, Linkin Park, Metallica, RIZE.
